Graduate Students & Families - Rates & Billing

As a resident of the Northwood Community Apartments, there are set charges (your monthly rent, for example) and a number of other optional services/costs. Use the links below to find the information needed to plan your expenses.

The University reserves the right to revise rates with a 30-day notice to the resident.

Paying Your Rent

Charges appear on a monthly Student Account Statement. This ebill is issued by the Office for Student Financial Operations. For information about student accounts, payments and schedules or other billing policies and procedures, please contact Student Financial Services.

Your monthly rent payment is due the last day of the preceding month. For example, your October rent is due on September 30.

Checks should be made payable to the University of Michigan and should include your U-M ID number. Mail your payment to:

Payments may also be made in person at Teller Services in 2226 Student Activities Building (SAB), 515 E. Jefferson, on Central Campus. They can be reached at (734) 764-7447.

Late Payments and Billing Questions

A Penalty of $30/month will be charged on accounts that are not paid in full by the due date. Questions about your University account should be directed to Student Financial Services.
