Religious Observance Meal Accommodations
Meal plan modification will be activated one month prior to the start of each holiday. Please select a holiday below:

Ramadan
University Housing offers alternative meal options for Muslim students with meal contracts who wish to observe Ramadan. In addition to the options available through University Housing, the Muslim Community Association will be providing free dinner to Muslim students every night during the month of Ramadan. The Muslim Community Association Ann Arbor Mosque is located at 2301 Plymouth Road, 734-665-6675.

Passover
University Housing does not maintain kosher kitchens. Students who do not wish to eat at the Residence Halls may apply for a board rebate for Passover by completing the On-line Passover Board Termination form. Students may request a rebate for one meal daily (either lunch or dinner), or for both meals, and will receive a 70% rebate for the meals selected.

Kosher Meal Plan
University Housing partners with the Hillel Foundation to provide a Kosher meal plan option. For the same price as the Any 13 and 150 Block Meal Plans, residential students can transfer their meal plan to the Hillel Foundation. Once a meal plan has been transferred, students will be able to use their meal plan only at the Hillel House. Kosher meal plans cannot be used at residence hall dining sites, except during Thanksgiving recess and Spring Break when Hillel does not serve meals.

Hillel accepts Blue Bucks for anyone wanting to eat an occasional meal at Hillel. Walk-ins with payment at the door are accepted for all meals except Shabbat and holiday meals. Reservations and payment in advance are required for Shabbat and special holiday meals. For more information call 734-769-0500, or visit www.umhillel.org.
