Residence Education is currently accepting applications for anticipated HD positions. Please see below for current job description. We invite you to view a short VIDEO to learn about our department, the philosophies that guide us and our mission and values.

Our Mission:

Residence Education's mission is to foster the academic, cultural, intellectual, personal, and social development of students living in the residence halls, while encouraging and supporting each other's development. We work in partnership with others to continually improve our services and create a safe and inclusive, multicultural residence hall community.

Our Department's Structure:

In 2006, our department participated in a retreat to review our current organizational structure which consisted of 2-3 live in residence education professionals in every building. Several models were evaluated according to our university mission as well as the values of providing enhanced service to students, consistency for building operations, and professional growth opportunities for staff. As such, an area model was implemented in Fall 2007 with 1-2 full time professional Hall Directors in each building and five areas of grouped buildings supervised by an Area Coordinator. The area model unites our different buildings conducive to the creation of five exciting and unique communities of students and staff. To view our current structure, please visit our Organizational Chart (pdf).
