Admissions Information Sessions and Walking Tours SAB Atrium
The best way to get a feel for the University of Michigan is to experience it firsthand: walk through the buildings, explore the campus, talk with students, staff and faculty, take in the sights and delights of our city.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites prospective freshman and their parents to attend an information session followed by a central campus walking tour, including a stop in a residence hall. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is located within the Huetwell Visitor's Center in the Student Activities Building (SAB). To schedule campus information sessions and walking tours of Central Campus, please register on-line or call (734) 647-5692. For students interested in the College of Engineering, afternoon information sessions and tours of the North Campus facilities, please call (734) 647-7000 to schedule a visit.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the renovation of the Huetwell Visitor Center, all sessions until November 1st will be held at the Michigan Union in the Anderson Room. Sessions are based on room availability and are held most Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. You must make a reservation to attend a session by going online to www.admissions.umich.edu and click on visiting. You may also call the Visitors Center at (734) 647-5692.

Summer Orientation Tours and Visiting a Residence Hall
During Summer Orientation 2008, June 9th – August 8th, tour rooms are available for public viewing in several open residence halls. Tours are conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday – Friday ONLY. Visitors are asked to gather at the front entrance of a building just before 1:00 pm in order to meet a representative of that building. Due to summer construction projects and programs, tours are not available for the following halls: Alice Lloyd, Betsy Barbour, Couzens, East Quad, Fletcher, Mosher Jordan, Helen Newberry, Oxford, South Quad, and Stockwell. Virtual on-line tours of the Residence Halls are also available.

Visiting an Apartment or Townhouse
There are two model apartments set up for prospective applicants to view. The models that are shown do not represent all types of apartments or townhouses that we have, however they do represent the units where we tend to have the greatest number of units to offer incoming applicants.  You may go to the Community Center during office hours and check out a key to the model apartments.  Applicants can also view 3-D floor plans and virtual tours.
