Application Process for Entering Freshmen Incoming freshmen apply for housing online through an application that is available to admitted students who have paid their enrollment deposit request (EDR) or had it offically waived by. Housing assignment priority is not based on deposit date. Schedule
If you have not received
an email within four weeks after mailing your EDR, please contact our
office. We will need to know your 8-digit U-M identification number. Completing
the Housing Application
Room Assignments
and Changes Once an assignment has been offered, we do not make changes - even if the contract has not been signed. If you turn down an assignment, we will not offer you another room until the start of the term, vacancies permitting. You will have the opportunity soon after moving in to sign up on residence hall waitlists if you wish to change rooms within your original hall or relocate to another hall. University Housing
does not make room assignments and will not consider student initiated
room changes based on race, religion, disability, sexual orientation*,
or national origin. *gender identity and gender expression Application
Information
Residence Halls have a staggered move-in. Most newly admitted students
will move in on August 27, 2008 or August 28, 2008. Contracts have the
exact date. Returning students can return beginning 8:00am on August 29,
2008.
