Immunizations
You should have up-to-date immunizations before arriving on campus.

Routine immunizations include meningitis, measles/mumps/rubella , tetanus-diphtheria, polio, hepatitis B and chicken pox.

Why?
Immunization is one of the most effective public health measures in preventing communicable disease. In addition, vaccination may be required for travel, volunteer work and graduate schools.

Mumps Information
College students should have received two doses of measles/mumps/rubella vaccine. See the University Health Service Web site for information about Measles, Mumps and Rubella.

Meningitis Immunization
Meningitis immunization is now recommended for all incoming college freshmen living in residence halls. Other college students under 25 years of age may choose to be vaccinated to reduce their risk of disease. See the University Health Service Web site for information about Meningitis and Vaccination.

HPV Vaccine
A new HPV vaccine is recommended for women through age 26. It can prevent most genital warts and most cases of cervical cancer. See the University Health Service Web site for information about HPV and Vaccination

Immunization Forms
An immunization form for new students should be completed and returned to University Health Service at least 30 days before classes start. You can download the form from the University Health Service Web site.
