Transportation for
University Housing Residents
Several transportation options are available for students to
travel between campus locations and around town.
Many students also find bicycles
to be an efficient mode of transportation. Every residence hall, academic
building and campus recreational facility has bicycle-locking areas so
that bikes can be adequately secured when not in use.
The U-M bus routes that specifically service residence hall and Undergraduate
Apartment locations are:
- Free, frequent

- Feature multiple routes covering all UM Ann Arbor campuses
- Run from early in the morning to very late at night
Route maps and timetables are available from UM

- Ride any of AATA's regularly scheduled fixed-route buses any day,
anytime, including The Link shuttles
- Show valid MCard ID to bus driver
- Take the bus to all of Ann Arbor: movie theaters, shopping centers,
and many city landmarks
- Plan your ride online today!
- Is the Link leaving you behind? If the Link leaves
without you because it is overcrowded, pull out your cell phone and
call (734)973-6500. This is the AATA Business Office. Let them know
that you were left behind because the bus was full. If nine people get
left, they should get nine separate calls. This is the most effective
way to get additional service during peak hours.

driving radius of Central or North Campus. The SAFEWalk escorts are dispatched
to the caller’s location from DPS at 734-763-WALK (734-763-9255).
