IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Custom lofts are NOT permitted in residence hall rooms in which modular furniture has been installed. Students are advised whether a loft is allowed when they receive their room/apartment assignment. Please refer to Outfitting Your Student Room for custom loft guidelines and more about where they are permitted.

Only vendors registered with University Housing may sell items within University Housing. Only registered vendors are approved to sell items on campus during Summer Orientation and Fall Move-In. Neither the University of Michigan (UM) nor University Housing endorses or approves any participating vendor or item for sale. UM disclaims any responsibility or liability for any misrepresentation by vendors or items for sale. All vendors agree to accept complete responsibility, and hold harmless UM, its University Housing, and any and all of their employees or agents against any and all liability, loss, damage, or injury, personal or otherwise, incurred from any installation or delivery in University Housing residence hall public or private area.
