Applying for On-Campus University Housing

International Undergraduate Students
Fourteen residence halls and apartments on the campus of the University of Michigan provide housing for undergraduate students. Students from over 90 countries make up 7 percent of the population of these halls.

If you are a newly admitted freshman matriculated (paid your enrollment deposit - EDR) to the University of Michigan for Spring, Summer or Fall Term 2006, enter your University uniqname and password on the Freshman On-Line Application in order to proceed with your application for residence hall housing. You will receive an email when your application is available for you.

If you are a newly admitted international undergraduate transfer student who is matriculated (paid your enrollment deposit - EDR) and you wish to apply for University Housing, complete and submit the online Housing Application Request Form, and we will FAX you an application.

International Graduate and Professional Students

You are eligible to live in the Northwood Community Apartments if

  • you are newly admitted and matriculated at the graduate school or professional school level
  • and you are coming with a family (spouse, domestic partner and/or a child or children)
  • or you are coming as a single student.

Students from over 70 countries live in the Northwood Community Apartments

If you are a newly admitted and matriculated (confirmed your intent to enroll) to the University of Michigan for Spring, Summer or Fall Term 2006, you will receive an email instructing you how to access the online application for the Northwood Community Apartments.

Residence hall accommodations are not available for graduate or professional students.
