The North Campus community at U of M fosters interaction between academic disciplines. Art, architecture, engineering, and music students, along with North Campus residents, enjoy central resources for research, work, and socializing.

University Housing is looking forward to greeting you when you arrive to pick up the keys to your Northwood III apartment. Your apartment will be ready for you beginning August 17. You can check in and pick up the key to your apartment at the Community Center between then and September 8. You'll need a photo ID to obtain the key. When you check in, you will also receive a packet with information pertinent to your stay in Northwood III. If you arrive after hours, you should make arrangements for other accommodations such as a hotel.*

Community Center Check-in Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8 am – 8 pm
  • Friday: 8 am – 9 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am – 9 pm
  • Sunday: closed
  • Labor Day (9/7): noon – 4 pm

Unfortunately, in most instances, we are not able to honor requests for early Move-In or early key pick-up. Any such arrangement must be authorized by the Assignment Coordinator or the Northwood Housing Advisor in the Housing Information Office in 1500 Student Activities Building on Central Campus. You may make a request at housing@umich.edu. Staff at the Northwood Community Center are not authorized to approve these requests.

*In an emergency situation only, you may call Housing Security at 734-763-1131.
