The Diag The Diag is at the heart of the University of Michigan. Students gather here for both celebration and activism, pass through between classes and linger for socializing. The Block M is a well-known symbol of the University. Superstition warns not to walk across it before your first bluebook exam. |

*No matter what time you arrive, it is best to be
prepared for some delay due to heavy volume of traffic immediately adjacent
to halls. However, those who arrive in the late afternoon often encounter
fewer backups than those who arrive first thing in the morning. It's also
to your advantage to avoid Ann Arbor rush hours, before 9:00 am and 4:00
pm - 6:00 pm. In fact, University Housing and the city of Ann Arbor request
that you not arrive on campus or drive around campus during either period,
unless absolutely necessary. If you are already in Ann Arbor during the
rush hours, why not take the opportunity to stroll around town or have
a bite to eat?
