Parking Permits for Northwood III students
Northwood III residents no longer apply through a lottery and may purchase one permit at the time of move-in, or anytime thereafter.

Permits are assigned to a specific lot. The permit does not guarantee that a space will always be available in the specified lot. If no space is available in an assigned lot, vehicles with Northwood permits may be parked in other Northwood lots, subject to the same rules. Northwood parking lot NW30 is reserved specifically for residents assigned to that lot; no exceptions. All vehicles displaying Northwood permits must be in operable condition (no flat tires, not on blocks, etc.).

Students moving in for Winter Term
Parking permits are available for students moving in at the start of winter term. Students may apply at the time of moving in or submit the on-line form at any time, located at the end of this page.

Temporary Vehicles
All temporary vehicles used by students, such as those which are rented or loaned, are required to have a temporary permit. These permits are available at the Community Center with proper documentation. Students selling and newly acquiring a vehicle are eligible for a temporary vehicle permit for up to 30 days for a fee of $5.00 for each two weeks.

Guest Permits
Permits for visitors are available at the Community Center for up to ten consecutive days. License plate numbers are required for guest permits. Guest permits must hang from the rear view mirror.

Motorcycles
Motorcycles may park without charge or permit in "Motorcycles Only" areas. However, if parked in a regular automobile space, rules for regular vehicles apply.

Parking Permit Regulations
General policies as stated in the University Housing Parking Policies section apply to all Northwood residents.

2009-2010 Northwood Housing Parking Fees
All Northwood III permits expire May 3, 2010 regardless of when issued.

Residents must show proof of vehicle registration to obtain a permit.
