Stockwell Hall reopens in fall 2009 after a comprehensive renovation. Located in the Hill Neighborhood, Stockwell is convenient to many academic buildings, the new Hill Dining Center, Palmer Field and the Central Campus Recreation Building. New amenities and safety features include fire suppression system, upgraded plumbing, heating and electrical, air-conditioning, wireless Internet access, lounges, kitchenettes, and remodeled bathrooms. The renovation includes a dynamic multi-level Rotunda area for community and neighborhood interaction, a new Community Learning Center, music practice rooms, recreation areas and lounges for recreation, study and events.

Upper class students reside in Stockwell Hall, where the coeducational community focus is on an evolving, student-driven Sophomore Year Experience.
