Cable Television Fees
May 2008– April 2009

  • Spring Semester 2008 (billed 1 month in advance-April & May) $29.50 per apartment*
  • Summer Semester 2008 (billed 1 month in advance-June & July) $31.00 per apartment*
  • August (billed in August): $15.50 per apartment**
  • Fall Semester (billed in August): $124.00 per apartment
  • Winter Semester (billed in December): $124.00 per apartment
  • Reactivation fee: $25.00
  • Rates are subject to change

Apartment fees are divided equally between occupants. Excluding the reactivation fee, all other fees or credits may be prorated, depending on when the cable service is cancelled or reactivated.

* Note: Spring/Summer charges apply to May to May 12 month leaseholders
**Note: August charge applies to residents with Fall contracts that begin Mid August.

Deadline for Cable Cancellations
Although the cable service may be cancelled at anytime throughout the semester, to avoid being billed the full rate or charged a prorated portion of the fee, the online cable cancel request should be submitted as soon as possible and no later than the first Friday after classes begin. Cancel request received after the deadline will be processed with a prorated credit or partial charge.

Channel Line-up
Cable Television is automatically provided in all Northwood III apartments through the local cable service provider:

  • Comcast local cable service provider. Provides approximately 75 channels with your service.

The channel line-up is subject to changes.  The current Ann Arbor channel line-up for the “Preferred Basic” service that is provided to your apartment can be found on the Comcast website www.comcast.com under the programming tab.

Be sure to bring the appropriate remote controls for your TV, VCR, or DVD player. Setting up your TV on a new cable system usually requires running auto setup via the menu button on your remote control.
