Community Center Services

Welcome to the Community Center – the focal point of information and activity that draws residents together to create more dynamic communities.

The Community Center in each residence hall provides many services (see below), and it will become more of a  community hub for student-driven activities.

Community-building programs that may have been held only on a corridor will be held at the Community Center, bringing together students from all areas of the building. Students will have a chance to become acquainted with other residents they live with in the same building.  And throughout the year, Centers will host informational sessions about various topics on residential life.

Newspapers available for daily, Monday-Saturday, Monday-Friday, or Sunday only distribution (may vary depending on publication schedule of specific paper) include: Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, and the Financial Times. Residence Hall Mail Services
Resident mailboxes are operated under general guidelines provided by the U.S. Postal Service. Only addressed mail sent through the Postal Service is required to be placed in resident mailboxes.

Mail Forwarding
When you move out of a residence hall, housing staff will forward first class mail for 30 days for those students who complete the Mail Forwarding Request form.

We recommend you also change your mailing address on any credit cards, newspaper, periodical subscriptions, and other business or personal contacts.

It is also important to submit your summer address change directly to the Office of the Registrar via Wolverine Access.
