Stockwell Hall is a mixed-gender residence hall located in the Hill Neighborhood near the Central Campus Recreation Building, Marketplace and Victors at the Mosher-Jordan Dining CenterPalmer Commons, Palmer Field and the Nichols Arboretum. Many other University buildings and schools are also convenient to Stockwell. Stockwell is home to the Second Year Experience (SYE); with specially trained staff and student leadership, this theme community is focused on the unique needs of second year students. Programs and activities are designed to help residents connect with one another and to develop new friendships and academic partnerships.

Stockwell Hall reopened in 2009 after a comprehensive renovation. Significant changes to Stockwell’s interior were created by enclosing an exterior courtyard under a glass skylight and opening the floor into the level below to create a spectacular multi-level rotunda. The renovation also included renovating student rooms and bathrooms, and adding air conditioning to the building.
